बस्ती में 79वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस धूमधाम से मनाया गया, देशभक्ति के रंग में रंगा पूरा जिला
बस्ती, 15 अगस्त 2025 —
जिले में 79वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस का पर्व परंपरागत उत्साह और गरिमा के साथ मनाया गया। सुबह से ही शहर और गांवों में तिरंगे के रंगों में रंगे स्कूल, सरकारी भवन और प्रमुख चौक-चौराहे इस ऐतिहासिक दिन की शोभा बढ़ा रहे थे। जगह-जगह बच्चों के हाथों में तिरंगे और देशभक्ति गीतों की धुन ने वातावरण को देशप्रेम से सराबोर कर दिया।

कलेक्ट्रेट में मुख्य ध्वजारोहण और प्रेरणादायक संदेश
जिलाधिकारी रवीश गुप्ता ने अपर जिलाधिकारी प्रतिपाल सिंह चौहान, सीआरओ, उप जिलाधिकारी, कलेक्ट्रेट कर्मियों और जिले के गणमान्य नागरिकों की उपस्थिति में ध्वजारोहण किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने सभी को संविधान के प्रति निष्ठा और कर्तव्यों के पालन की शपथ दिलाई।
अपने संबोधन में जिलाधिकारी ने आज़ादी के महत्व और अब तक देश की विकास यात्रा पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा —
“अगर हमें एक अच्छा शासन चाहिए, तो हमें खुद आगे बढ़कर सही प्रतिनिधि चुनना होगा। 50-60% मतदान प्रतिशत को हमें 100% में बदलना होगा। यही लोकतंत्र को मजबूत करेगा।”
स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों और वरिष्ठ नागरिकों का सम्मान
कार्यक्रम में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी जोशी जी, जगबीर सिंह और अन्य वरिष्ठ नागरिकों ने भी स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के प्रसंग सुनाए और युवाओं को देश सेवा के लिए प्रेरित किया। राजकीय कन्या इंटर कॉलेज की छात्राओं ने मधुर देशभक्ति गीत प्रस्तुत कर सभा का मन मोह लिया।
पुलिस परिक्षेत्र और पुलिस लाइन में समारोह
डीआईजी बस्ती संजीव त्यागी ने परिक्षेत्रीय कार्यालय में राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया और राष्ट्रगान के उपरांत राष्ट्रीय एकता संकल्प का पाठ कराया। उन्होंने अपने संदेश में कहा कि पुलिसकर्मी अपनी दृढ़ता, शौर्य और सेवा भाव के लिए जाने जाते हैं, और यही गुण उन्हें जनता के भरोसे पर खरा उतरने में सक्षम बनाते हैं।
पुलिस अधीक्षक अभिनंदन ने रिजर्व पुलिस लाइन बस्ती के क्वार्टर गार्ड पर ध्वजारोहण किया और उपस्थित अधिकारियों-कर्मचारियों को शपथ दिलाई। इसके बाद मिष्ठान, पुरस्कार और प्रमाणपत्र वितरित किए गए। इस अवसर पर पीआरओ, प्रतिसार निरीक्षक और पुलिस लाइन के समस्त स्टाफ मौजूद रहे।
तत्पश्चात एसपी अभिनंदन ने फव्वारा तिराहा स्थित नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण कर श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। अपर पुलिस अधीक्षक ओम प्रकाश सिंह ने भी पुलिस कार्यालय पर ध्वजारोहण कर कर्मियों को शपथ दिलाई और मिठाई बांटी।
शहर में मुस्लिम समुदाय का तिरंगा जुलूस
इस बार स्वतंत्रता दिवस के मौके पर जिले में एक अनोखा दृश्य देखने को मिला। मुस्लिम समुदाय के युवाओं और बुजुर्गों ने हाथों में तिरंगा लेकर जुलूस निकाला, जिसमें ‘हिंदुस्तान जिंदाबाद’ और ‘भारत माता की जय’ के नारों से माहौल गूंज उठा। इस जुलूस ने यह संदेश दिया कि आज़ादी का पर्व सभी धर्म, जाति और समुदाय के लिए समान रूप से गर्व और एकता का प्रतीक है।
79वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस बस्ती में सिर्फ एक सरकारी औपचारिकता नहीं, बल्कि जन-जन की भागीदारी और भाईचारे का प्रतीक बन गया, जिसने आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए लोकतंत्र और एकता का एक मजबूत संदेश छोड़ा।

Basti Celebrates 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour and Grandeur
Basti, August 15, 2025
On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Independence Day, the entire Basti district was adorned in the colours of the tricolour. The National Flag was hoisted across government and non-government offices, institutions, and establishments, while the National Anthem resonated in unison. School children took out Prabhat Pheris (morning processions), filling the air with patriotic fervour as chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “15 August Amar Rahe” echoed through the streets.
Flag Hoisting and Inspiring Message at the Divisional Commissioner’s Office
Divisional Commissioner Akhilesh Singh hoisted the National Flag and led everyone in saluting the tricolour. Addressing the gathering at the seminar hall, he said:
“Today, we must focus on technological advancement and work towards complete development with balanced strength. Officers and employees must discharge their duties with sincerity, listen to public grievances seriously, resolve them effectively, and bring improvements in their work through self-reflection.”
The 79th Independence Day was celebrated across the district with traditional enthusiasm, pride, and a deep sense of patriotism. From district administration to the police force and educational institutions, the tricolour waved proudly as the eternal festival of freedom was honoured.
Main Ceremony by the District Administration
At the Collectorate campus, District Magistrate Ravish Gupta, in the presence of Additional District Magistrate Pratipal Singh Chauhan, the Chief Revenue Officer, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, government staff, and prominent citizens, unfurled the National Flag. Following the flag hoisting, he administered an oath of allegiance to the Constitution and duties.
In his motivational address, he highlighted India’s journey of progress, the significance of freedom, and the responsibilities of every citizen:
“If we want good governance, we must actively participate in choosing the right leadership. The voter turnout, which currently stands between 50-60%, must be raised to 100%—this should be our collective resolution.”
Additional District Magistrate Pratipal Singh Chauhan spoke about the achievements and challenges India has faced over the past 78 years of independence, urging citizens to uphold their duties with dedication. Freedom fighter Joshi Ji, Jagbir Singh, and other dignitaries also shared their thoughts. Students from Government Girls’ Inter College performed soulful patriotic songs, filling the atmosphere with emotion.
Police Department’s Independence Day Observance
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Sanjeev Tyagi, at the Range Office, hoisted the National Flag and led the recital of the National Unity Pledge, repeated in unison by all officers and staff. In his address, he remarked that the true identity of a police officer lies in steadfastness, courage, and selfless service to the people.
At the Police Lines, Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhinandan unfurled the tricolour at the Quarter Guard, administered the oath to uphold the Constitution, and distributed sweets, awards, and certificates to boost morale. The event saw the presence of the SP’s Public Relations Officer, Reserve Inspectors, and all Police Lines staff.
Later, SP Abhinandan paid floral tribute to the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Fawwara Tiraha. Additional Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Singh hoisted the flag at the police headquarters, administered the pledge, and distributed sweets to all police personnel.
A Message of Collective Resolve
The 79th Independence Day celebrations in Basti once again conveyed a clear message: patriotism is not just an emotion, but a shared commitment between citizens and administration—an unwavering resolve to build a strong, secure, and progressive India.
